The journey my dissertation took me on was not just figurative with pushing the boundaries of my perception, but through my investigation of Elephant & Castle and with writings such as Zuthmore & Jane Jacobs, I found myself meeting the master planners of E&C, Crown St (Glasgow), Wansley St. development (within E&C, by dRMM) and delving into the dusty archives of V&A to study originals by Goldfinger himself. The journey I had envisaged for my dissertation pushed my boundaries of comprehension to think beyond the walls of the Heygate Estate to how the factors about it were challenging its current & proposed future. |
